Changes to visiting arrangements: new rules

On 15 March 2021, the museum introduced new visiting arrangements. The entry to the ticket area (to the palace courtyard) is situated at the Guardhouse, to the right of the main gate and behind the Corps de Gard building. The main gate serves only as an exit. Visitors entering the ticket area no longer have to walk past outbound visitors.

There’s one more important change – the palace is now equipped with thermal imaging cameras, which automatically monitor the body temperature of everyone who enters palace interiors. We introduced these changes to ensure that the museum stays open for the public and continues to offer an enjoyable visitor experience. At the same time, we strive to ensure highest possible security levels to protect both visitors and staff. The new visitor traffic rules are presented in the detailed map below. Stay healthy and join us at the museum – in person or virtually!
