The "www.muzeach" project is almost completed. Soon visitors to the website inmuseums.pl – the result of the project – will find there over 10,000 objects from the collections of five Polish museums. On Wednesday, March 16th, 2022 at 11:00 a conference summarising the project was held in the White Room of the Wilanów Palace. We invite you to view the recording.
Soon on the website inmuseums.pl anyone interested will be able to discover the various collections of five museums in one place, easily, free of charge and at any time. The “www.muzeach” project is carried out by: the Museum of King Jan III's Palace at Wilanów as a leader and beneficiary in partnership with the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, the National Museum in Lublin, the National Museum in Szczecin, and the Castle Museum in Łańcut. The main goal is to make available digital resources of various types from many museums in one place in a simple way and for free – and thus to improve access to cultural resources in digital form.
Visitors to inmuseums.pl will be able to see various collections of prehistoric, ancient and contemporary art, works of artists from Poland, Europe and the Far East. The presented objects include: sculptures, drawings and engravings, paintings, arts and crafts, archival photos and everyday objects, such as maps and furniture, and even geoportals. All works of art come with descriptions, and ten specially prepared mini-collections with educational tasks offer a cross-section of the collections.
The project “www.muzeach” is co-financed from European Funds and from the funds of the Ministry of Culture and National of the Republic of Poland. The project is implemented under the Operational Programme Digital Poland for the years 2014-2020, Priority Axis 2 “E-government and open government,” Action 2.3 “Digital availability and usefulness of public sector information,” Sub-action 2.3.2 “Digital availability of culture resources.”
