One of the key outcomes of the project will be a multisearch website available at: www.muzeach.pl. It will allow for the presentation and browsing of collections made available by the Museum of King Jan III’ Palace at Wilanów, POLIN the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, Lublin Museum, National Museum in Szczecin and Castle Museum in Łańcut. Museum exhibit cards will bear documentary data, description and a photographic image. Selected items will also be illustrated using 3D models and other advanced technologies (such as RTI and Gigapixel). Key features for users are:
- the ability to log in via social networks;
- searching objects according to complex criteria with the ability to store them;
- users can create their own collections;
- information about new objects in the saved search criteria;
- adding users’ own notes to objects and collections;
- exporting lists of objects to PDF and CSV files.
The project involves the presentation of approx. 10 000 exhibits from five museums!
It will also be possible to add collections of additional institutions interested in common presentation, due to the value such a way of presenting cultural goods has for research and popularisation. The website will be available in Polish and English.
