The synergy of objects and what can result from it

Every single museum item can tell an interesting story. It may sound cliché, but imagine what unusual and sometimes even surprising stories can be created by combining objects from different museums and collections!

16 stories to get you started

From the very beginning of the "www.muzeach" project, we were convinced that in addition to the classic presentation of digital collections divided into museums, collections and sets of objects, we should offer users of inmuseums.pl a more narrative and engaging form of learning about them. The team, consisting of employees of the education departments of five museums involved in the project, created 16 educational paths for a good start. They included such topics as: And everything is clear! — about light literally and figuratively, From XS to XXL — about corporeality and canons of beauty over the centuries, Why count time? – this title does not need to be explained…, and Superpowers — about ordinary women, whose remarkable achievements have gone down in history. Each path contains a wide variety of items that do not seem to have much in common at first glance. Together, however, they create important stories about our history, culture, habits and customs.

Inexhaustible, creative potential

The paths are provided with a set of educational materials aimed at various age groups. These are not complete lesson plans, but single, short exercises and challenges. They can be comfortably incorporated into a school lesson or an interesting way of spending a rainy evening with the family. Universal and easy access to educational materials was particularly important for the authors, as well as the possibility of their further use, processing and modification so that they would meet individual needs. That is why all materials have been transferred to the public domain.

Since every object published at inmuseums.pl carries a unique story, and we hope that our initiative will be joined by more museums, there are limitless possibilities of creating and sharing stories that engage, educate and, above all, are important for our contemporary identities and culture. We encourage everyone to learn about history and art in an interesting way, and to create their own important stories.
