One of many religious depictions of Clementina which began to be created only after her death. The portrait shows Sobieska as the Catholic Queen of Great Britain, in an ermine cloak and a veil symbolising her devotion to Christ. The queen supports a crucifix that stands on the table, pointing toward it; next to it rests the royal crown.

The author of the graphic, Roman engraver Girolamo Rossi (1682–c.1762), specialised in engravings based on paintings. The original depiction came from Domenico Maria Muratori (1661–1744), a painter from the region of Bologna who died in Rome. The same image was adapted in 1738 in a modified composition by Roman engraver Carlo Grandi (active 1729–1767).
