The Royal Families of Sobieski and Stuart

In 1719 Princess Maria Klementyna Sobieska, usually called Clementina in English, the youngest granddaughter of King Jan III, married James Stuart, the exiled King James III of England and Ireland, and VIII of Scotland. It was an arranged dynastic marriage and Clementina did not actually meet James until the day on which they were married in Italy. She was eighteen and he was thirty-one.
