Product description

An architectural diary, architectural concepts on the example of the palace in Wilanów

Author: Patrycja Paulina Żołędowska

We invite you on a journey through an extraordinary place - the palace of King Jan III at Wilanów. Take the Diary with you to learn 25 architectural concepts, complete 13 exercises, and then create your own, unique building! The architectural concepts were composed by hand and printed in a typesetter* using wooden fonts** (so-called clogs). Each wooden block, and therefore the letters constituting the concepts in this Diary, are unique.

*Typesetter - a place where texts are hand-made from fonts.
**Font – a printing block with a head in the shape of a single letter or other writing character, it can be made of wood, steel or lead. Invented in the Far East in the 11th century, widely used in Europe since the 15th century. In the early 1990s it was replaced by computer fonts.
