Product description

Celebration of Baroque. The Artistic Patronage of Primate Michał Stefan Radziejowski (1645-1705)

Authors: Jerzy Żmudziński, Juliusz A. Chrościcki, Roman Kawecki

The English version of the exhibition catalogue ‘Celebration of Baroque. The Artistic Patronage of Primate Michał Stefan Radziejowski (1645-1705)’ edited by the curator Jerzy Źmudziński. The exhibition itself is a continuation of the exhibition, conservation and educational projects of the Wilanów Palace Museum related to the art of the period of King Jan III. This project is also intended to convince the audience that the art of the times of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth is not only attractive as a embellishment of the cultural mosaic of the 21st century, but can also constitute a value compensating for the movement of civilization away from its modern sources. The impressive graphic design of the catalogue is created by Professor Maciej Buszewicz.
