The Lizard, the Fox, the Little Lion and the Hound Dogs are excellent guides with whom we will go on a journey through the ‘Heaven of Jan Heweliusz’. We will learn what constellations the famous astronomer from Gdańsk discovered, what stars he observed with particular interest and what optical device he constructed himself. King Jan III also shared the passion for observing the sky with Heweliusz, who received his own constellation – Scutum Sobiescianum – as a gift from the astronomer. A rhymed story about the constellations discovered by Heweliusz encourages us to look carefully at the sky based on the tips contained in it.
