It is a publication, which in interesting, lively and unconventional way presents original concept of new type of museum referred to as „relational museum”. The authors introduce and describe this idea, using for it theoretical informations and science apparatus as well as practical experience, which were experienced by co-founders of Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek. This book opens a new publishing series entitled Museology – New Places (Muzeologia – nowe miejsca), devoted to programmes, theories and events documenting the creation of new museums in Poland. The aim of the new series is to become a record of museums in statu nascendi – a type of chronicle of the idea the inevitable museumsification of our world. Relational museum is an attempt to capture and the process, taking place over several years, of clarifying the concept and work methods around the newly creatan ed Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek. It is not, therefore, a theoretical textbook or a list of good practices. It is a multithreaded narration, written in several voices to present, in one place, the various dimensions of shaping the social influence of a modern museum on its own ecosystem.  Janusz Byszewski Beata Nessel-Łukasik (authors)   An eye-catching title, interesting texts, a dynamic formula, many references to contemporary humanities, all of this makes this book a good read, which leaves the audience wanting more.
 Prof. Grzegorz Dziamski

The authors are aware that their concept is to a large degree original, and cannot be based on the present descriptive language. This is why they search for new categories, new terms, new metaphors, to break free of the stale discourse found in this field. The concept of relational museum is therefore presented with a sense of freshness and discovery, fitting the subject’s originality. Prof. Grzegorz Godlewski   The description of the creation of the relational museum i san important example of how work with a museum’s audience and neighbourhood should look into the proces of crafting a new type of museum experience, which goes beyond the building’s threshold and the exhibition. Dr hab. Anna Ziębińska-Witek
