‘Sobieścian Stars’ is the title of a collection consisting of two studies. The first, “Mysterium Cosmographicum króla Jana" [Mysterium Cosmographicum of King Jan] by Dominika Walawender-Musz and Artur Janda, concerns the interest in astrology and astronomy shown by King Jan III Sobieski, whose scholarship holders were the stars of science at that time. The authors show how the king's intellectual searches were reflected in the Wilanów Palace. The second, "Miłość w gwiazdach zapisana" [Love written in the stars] by David Harklay and Magdalena Gutowska, is a story about the history of astrology and an attempt to prepare the horoscope of Jan III Kazimierz and Maria Kazimiera, introducing readers to these two renowned figures.
